Away Game Party Tips

Super Party Bowl Chili with Hass Avocados

Don't be caught on the sideline - be prepared to throw the ultimate party no matter what your location is with our game winning tailgating ideas and tips.

Plan out your playbook

    Backyard Barbeque with Hass Avocados
  1. Plan your menu around one or two main dishes. Make one of them a vegetarian dish. Then fill out the menu with a green or potato salad and a few appetizers made with Hass Avocados. Even better, ask guests to bring a dish to share, but be sure you indicate a specific type of dish so you don't end up with 30 bags of chips and no guacamole.
  2. Not the host? Consider a recipe that is easy to make and is a great complement to other dishes like Super Party Bowl Chili with Avocado Garnish or our Hass Avocado and Red Potato Salad.

  3. New or returning tailgate titans, show your skills on game day by throwing a practice backyard barbeque before the tailgate. Practice new recipes and find out exactly how much you need to pack and prepare for your parking lot celebration in the safety of your own home.

Fresh ideas for fun on the run

    BLEATS
  1. Looking for a new kind of game celebration for an early tailgate? Consider an "eggs with legs" - breakfast celebration on the go. Bring a grill top griddle or pan for your portable grill to create breakfast burritos with Hass Avocado or B.L.E.A.T.s (bacon, lettuce, eggs, avocado and tomato sandwiches) before the game. Your guests will be delighted by the change in menu and wonder what you'll come up with next.
  2. Hamburgers and hotdogs are traditional game fare. Why not try making Pulled Pork Sliders with Hass Avocado and Caramelized Onion instead? You can prep the pork ahead of time and keep it in a slow cooker or covered foil pan on the grill to warm it up for game time. Just be sure to have plenty of Fresh Hass Avocado slices to add to each of your sliders!
