Description:
Here's an easy to make sandwich that is sure to hit a home-run with your team.
Ingredients:
  • 3 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tsp. olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast, pounded to 1/2 inch thick
  • 4 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled
  • 4 (6-inch) flatbreads
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 8 tomato slices
  • 1 ripe, Fresh Hass Avocado, seeded, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch thick slices
  • Low-fat ranch dressing, as needed

Instructions:

  1. In a sealable plastic bag, combine vinegar, oil, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper. Add chicken, close and rotate to coat. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Remove chicken from marinade and discard marinade. Grill chicken over medium hot coals for 4 minutes per side, turning once. Remove chicken from grill and slice into 1/2-inch strips.
  3. Warm flatbreads on grill.
  4. Lay out flatbreads and top one half of each with lettuce, tomato, chicken, bacon and avocado.

To serve, drizzle with dressing and fold flatbreads in half.
